Learning in Europe Class
Teaching and learning in Europe Class (Year 6) follows the 2014 National Curriculum for Upper Key Stage Two.
This gives an overview of the topics covered for each subject this year.

Home Learning in Europe Class
Home Learning expectations for Year 6 are:
Reading: 15 minutes reading to self or an adult everyday. This must be recorded in the Reading Record
Spellings: a short list of words to be learnt by heart each week. These spellings are a mixture of the Statutory Spelling List for Years 5 & 6 and from the Read Write Inc Spelling Programme. Spelling sheets are handed out on a Tuesday to be returned the following Monday for the spelling Quiz.
SATS Revision books: Children are to complete one of the ten minute tests for English Reading, English SPAG and Maths. This will be communicated with the children at the beginning of the week.
Science and Humanities: Research and longer projects will be given on a termly basis.
